Painting and more painting

Hello, Happy Thursday!

 

I have been painting a LOT this week. I have many orders coming in and have been painting some signs for this cute shop here in Red Bluff CA. I am in love with the store, Enjoy the store is the name, Its a great place to shop and my signs fit in well. I am so excited for this opportunity.

Summer has been moving along here, I am enjoying the time with the kids, but I do need a little break :) I am planning on joining a Gym for some me time here in the next week. I am super excited to get my butt into shape and I am pretty sure an outing alone may be just the motivation I need!

Life..busy Life

Do you ever feel so busy but in reality its lack of organization? I find that my daily, weekly chores consume all my time. When the time comes and all the cleaning  is done ( who am I kidding, its never done!) I am so tired that I end up sitting on the couch watching Netflix! Dam you endless seasons of great shows! Then I end up doing all my painting into the wee hours of the night...and wake up in a grumpy mood:(  Well no more!!!
I have found a way to get all my work done and have time for my business. (Pleasantly Painted) Now let me explain, my oldest son (7) loves games and computers, since Summer break hit I have been having battle after battle with him about his time on the computer. Well this last week I started a minute system with him... he vacuums, he gets 5mins of computer time, he loads dish washer he gets 5 mins..etc, etc... Let me tell you I am beside myself at what to do...I am actually Bord! well not really. He is so proud of himself too. I am finding all the little chores that consumed my time done. Now I can fold that pile of laundry while teaching my stinker responsibilities. He has always picked up after himself but I have always done everything else. We are all a lot happier now.

Hello Thursday!!!

Hello to the 2nd day of Spring!!  Let me tell you I am so excited for the Spring weather to hit.  I will be putting in a garden and doing a ton of work, cleaning and painting around the house and yard!  I just can't wait to get started:) 

When I started this blog last month I planned on posting often.  In my perfect world I would post daily. I am sure I will get to posting more and more. I am just trying to workout a routine with it and make sure I have some interesting things to share with you.

GOALS!

Who sets goal? I am a compulsive goal setter, daily, weekly, monthly maybe even hourly. the problem for me is follow through. I think the key to setting successful goals is organization and motivation. And sad to say I lack both most days. We all have the excuses ( kids, housework, tired the list is endless) the question is how do we move past the road blocks?

I have set a goal for myself to become healthy this year, mind, body and soul. I am starting with my body. Eating and moving more. I want to be healthy all around and I feel like changing the way I eat and move will help with ME to keep the motivation rolling for the mind and soul part too.

In the past 7 weeks I have lost 8lbs. Slow and steady wins the race! I feel better already:) Making small little goals inside the big goal has been helping me along the way. For example I have a goal to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. I also have a couple friends helping me along the way motivating me and for the competition in it too. It helps to have a good support system when pursuing any goal. I will keep you updated on my progress.  I would love to hear any tips and tricks you may have in keeping your goals alive and current:) Or if you just need support and want to share, feel free....sometimes just putting it out in the universe helps!

Hello and welcome to my little spot:)  I am new to the blog world and I'm super excited to get started.

I am Betsy, I am a mommy first, a girlfriend second and me third!  For all those Mommy's out there I'm sure you understand that. I hope to introduce you to me and have some fun and maybe show you a few things. I'm sure you will laugh at me and with me through out this process.

I love to paint, in between baths,naps,dinners and dishes I can work and sell my art. I am sleep deprived and wear sweats a LOT.  Pleasantly Painted is my business, I have big dreams for it!  I have a passion for art and painting.

I will be doing some tutorials for hand painted signs soon!!!
